Located 10 miles north of Darien on GA 99, and 1 mile down a county road to the right is a traditional commercial fishing community that grew up along Shellbluff Creek in the 1890s. Darien is the second oldest city in Georgia and is located on the state's Atlantic Coast between Savannah, Georgia, and Jacksonville, Florida. Some of this coastal city's attractions include river.

Tall Southern Pines and hardwood trees draped in Spanish moss surround the 80 foot deep, clear, spring fed lake. Lake fishing, swimming, boating and bird watching are some of the camper’s favorite activities.
